1. Introduction

Floor Epoxy (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. Q: Can you apply epoxy over my existing tiles?

A: In many cases, yes! We can grind the tiles to create adhesion and apply a self-leveling layer to hide the grout lines before applying the final design. This saves you the mess and cost of tile removal.

Q: Is epoxy flooring slippery?

A: High-gloss finishes can be slippery when wet, just like marble. However, for bathrooms, kitchens, and pool decks, we add a “micronized anti-slip aggregate” into the topcoat. It provides grip without feeling rough on bare feet.

Q: Does the installation smell?

A: We use high-quality, 100% Solids Epoxy which has very low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). There is a faint odor during application, but it dissipates quickly as the floor cures, making it safe for your family and pets.
